Get updates

PDF Studio looks for a new version at most once a day, shortly after it starts. Nothing is downloaded until you say so.

Steps

1. When there’s a new version, a bar at the top of the window says so and shows what’s new. Choose Download, or Later to leave it for now.
2. The bar shows the download’s progress. Usually only the parts that changed are downloaded, so it’s much smaller than the full installer.
3. When it says the new version is ready, choose Restart now. If you’d rather keep working, the update installs when you next quit PDF Studio.

Check by hand

Choose Help › Check for Updates…. PDF Studio tells you if you already have the latest version.

To stop the daily check, turn off Help › Check for Updates Automatically. You can still check by hand at any time.

If something goes wrong

• “The update server couldn’t be reached.” Check your internet connection and try Help › Check for Updates… again.
• The download stops without finishing. Choose Help › Check for Updates… and download again. If it keeps happening, download the latest installer from your account page and run it.
