Combine files into one PDF

Updated October 21, 2026

Combine Files puts several files together, one after another, in a new PDF.

Steps

  1. Choose File › Combine Files…, or Combine files on the start screen.
  2. Select the files you want. Hold Ctrl and click to choose more than one.
  3. Choose Open. PDF Studio opens the result in a new tab called Combined.pdf.
  4. Check the order. To move pages around, use Organize Pages.
  5. Choose File › Save As… (Ctrl+Shift+S) to save it under a name of your own.

The files you chose aren’t changed.

Office files

Word, Excel and PowerPoint files are turned into PDF pages on the way in. For that, PDF Studio uses Microsoft Office or LibreOffice if one of them is installed on your computer. Without either, combine PDFs only, or save the Word file as a PDF first.

Add one file to another

To add a file’s pages into the document you have open, choose Pages › Insert from File…, or drag a PDF from File Explorer onto the page thumbnails.
